For years we had been trying to develop a web site for the Group, I kept asking our people “how’s it doing” and the response was always the same “oh it’s doing okay”. The reality was that we were getting nowhere with it; it was simply dragging on and on.
 
Then in 2007 I was introduced to Richard Day who immediately impressed me, what a breath of fresh air, with his radical and bang up-to-date ideas. We commissioned Richard to start working on a web site for the Group but soon realised the problem and the reason we could never do the job, as pointed out by Richard “getting information out of people”. Over the coming months Richard had the tenacity and work ethic to stand-on people until he got what he wanted and eventually we started seeing the birth of a web site for the Group and the seven individual Companies.
 
Being a ‘creative kind of chap’ Richard was not satisfied with merely creating a web site, oh no that would have been far too easy, he wanted to go the whole hog and re-brand the entire Group! What Richard did then was to present us with a radical re-brand to transform the business from a dated engineering based Group into a fresh new branded Group of businesses we could really market. Not only had Richard re-branded the business he granted us license to sell the brand in a whole new way, it was nothing short of a new start for the Group and we were all excited with what the future could bring looking through refreshed eyes and Richard’s bright new vision.
 
Today, Richard still ‘manages’ the Group websites which is basically a programme of continuous development. The thing never stays the same for too long, always changing, always developing. Richard’s work did not stop with the web site; we now have bright new and branded Sales & Marketing literature, stationery and a whole lot more. Selling tools we have never had. Richard helps the Group (and me personally) in all sorts of ways, in fact he should be classed as part of the Group Management Team!
 
We are sat here mid 2009 in a deep recession but we continue to thrive and prosper, this I believe is a consequence of the work Daylight Media have done for the Group. It’s no exaggeration to say “we would not be what we are today without Richard Day, he has been and continues to be a vital part of our strategy for the future”.
